Job Description
A leading client within the shipping Industry is seeking a well-spoken, professional and highly organised Administrative Assistant to join their team in Durban, Umbilo. Also provide front-office and general administrative support. This role is ideal for a presentable individual with strong interpersonal skills who enjoys working with people and maintaining an efficient office environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting daily office operations, welcoming clients and visitors, and ensuring administrative processes run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:- Welcome and assist clients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Manage front-desk duties including answering calls and directing enquiries
- Order office consumables and maintain stock levels
- Filing, document management and maintaining organised records
- Provide general day-to-day administrative support to the team
- Assist with scheduling, coordination and office organisation tasks
- Ensure reception and office areas are neat and presentable at all times.
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in an Administrative Assistant or Reception role
- Well-spoken with excellent communication skills
- Well-presented and professional appearance
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
