Overview

Overall Job Function: Design activities in the antenna development team relating to prototyping, testing and general support

Job Responsibilities
  • Design of antenna radiating elements and arrays
  • Measurement of antennas and related components
  • Participate in the selection and procurement of measurement equipment, e.g. anechoic chambers, gain standards, probe antennas, network analyzers, RF cables, etc
  • Management and establishment of antenna measurement facilities
  • Develop and maintain software applications, used by the antenna development team, for
    • automated antenna measurements and optimization
    • automated antenna array optimization
    • post processing of data for graphical presentation
    • post processing of measured and CAD output data to demonstrate or predict system performance
  • Production support related to antenna designs, including:
    • Design and establishment of production test setups
    • Resolution of problems encountered during production assembly and testing
    • Selection and evaluation of replacement material or components triggered by obsolescence
  • Attend to requests for antenna performance information, e.g. pattern cuts
Job Requirements
  • University Degree in Electronic/Computer Engineering, M.Eng University Degree in Electronic/Computer Engineering, including studies in electromagnetics will be advantageous
  • Substantial experience, 5 years or more, in software development is desirable
  • Good understanding of Python or other well-supported modern object-oriented programming languages, Dephi will be advantageous
  • Experience in measuring electromagnetic parameters, development of software for controlling test equipment and building analytical tools for the data captured from the equipment will be advantageous
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle processes
  • Be goal oriented, self-driven and a team player
