Application Specialist : SAP FICO
Job Description
AECI is looking for a seasoned SAP FICO Specialist to design, implement, optimize and support our SAP Finance environment including consolidation tools while ensuring efficient financial processes, accurate reporting and alignment with strategic objectives. This role is the critical bridge between Finance and IT, translating business requirements into innovative Finance solutions that empower decision making and operational excellence.
Roles and Responsibilities- Partner with Finance leadership to ensure SAP FICO solutions support business requirements.
- Lead process standardization and optimization initiatives across financial operations.
- Configure, customize and continuously enhance SAP FICO modules, including consolidation solutions to meet evolving business needs.
- Manage seamless integration across SAP modules (FICO, MM, PP, PS, SD) and third party systems.
- Drive system upgrades, enhancements and migration projects.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and support internal/external audits.
- Provide Level 2/3 functional support and act as a subject matter expert for SAP and Finance Applications.
- Lead testing cycles (UAT, regression, integration) and deliver end user training.
- Maintain accurate functional documentation and promote knowledge sharing.
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- SAP ECC Certification (SAP FICO), SAP S/4HANA Finance experience is a plus.
- ITIL Foundation and/or JIRA certification is advantageous.
- 10+ years' experience as an SAP FICO specialist with full lifecycle implementation experience.
- Functional expertise in SAP ECC/S4HANA Finance: GL, AP, AR, AA, CO, and CO-PA.
- Experience supporting SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments and leading integration with other SAP modules and third party systems.
- Strong knowledge of financial compliance requirements and audit readiness within SAP environments.
