AREA MANAGER-RETAIL-KZN

We are seeking a professional and results-driven Area Sales Manager - Retail to drive regional sales growth and strengthen customer relationships. The successful candidate will lead sales teams, manage key accounts, and ensure the consistent achievement of business targets.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and buying groups.
• Drive revenue growth through effective sales planning and new business development.
• Set, monitor, and achieve sales targets; conduct regular performance reviews.
• Manage promotions, pricing, and ensure effective in-store execution.
• Oversee stock management, credit processes, and financial controls.
• Lead, coach, and manage sales representatives and agents.
• Analyse sales performance and provide regular reports and insights.
• Ensure effective territory management and field operations.
• Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and monitor competitor activity.
• Track daily, weekly, and monthly sales, including management of sample and free stock budgets.

• Matric (Grade 12), relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous.
• 3-4 years' experience in an FMCG environment.
• Proven experience managing sales teams and agents.
• Strong communication, sales, and negotiation skills.
• Computer literacy with solid financial and reporting capabilities.
• Excellent organisational, leadership, and time management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and multitask.
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel locally.
