Assistant Audit Manager CA(SA) - Audit Department (Pietermaritzburg) A national firm of Chartered Accountants and Registered Auditors is seeking an Assistant Audit Manager to join our Pietermaritzburg office. This role is available immediately and offers the opportunity to provide senior-level leadership within our auditing department while managing client relationships and delivering high-quality service.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage client portfolios from start to finish.
  • Oversee accounting clients and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
  • Handle various tax matters on behalf of clients.
  • Plan and execute external audits.
  • Lead and manage audit teams effectively.
  • Review audit and accounting files for accuracy and compliance.
  • Finalise audits for partner review.
  • Liaise directly with clients to address queries and maintain relationships.
  • Assess staff performance and oversee staff development initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications, Skills & Experience
  • CA(SA) qualification.
  • Registered Auidtor
  • Completed SAICA articles at a South African auditing practice.
  • 2-4 years post-articles' experience.
  • Proficiency in Caseware and Pastel.
  • Valid South African driver's licence and own transport.
