Batch Plant Supervisor
Job Description
Cementation Africa invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Batch Plant Supervisor to be placed in Tharisa Mine. The successful candidate will report to the Mine Overseer/Site Engineer. The company will provide remuneration and benefits relevant and appropriate to the position. Preference will be given to Historically Disadvantaged South African (HDSA) candidates. Applications only open to South African Citizens / Permanent Residents.
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:- Efficient supervision of batch plant operations within budget
- Effective self and team management in alignment with Cementaion Africa values and leadership initiatives
- Effectively enable batch plant operators, concrete mixer drivers and general workers to achieve deliverablestimeously
- Effective and sound working relationships with clients, suppliers and operational teams
- Effective establishment, maintenance and communication of batch plant schedule
- Proactive identification and mitigation of risks
- Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent
- Concrete Technology Diploma at NQF Level 6 or equivalent Advantageous
- Proficient in MS Office
- Valid EB Driver's License
- Ability to lead and supervise multiple teams
- Excellent understanding of batch plant procedures.
- Working understanding of risk procedures and quality assurance procedures
- Ability to plan, organise, control and schedule teams to deliver on time to project requirements.
- Ability to interact with suppliers and build sound relationships
- Adheres to principles and values
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Minimum 4 years of experience in batch plant operations
- Experience leading and supervising serveral batch plant teams from planning, scheduling to production of concrete
