Overview

Main job function The process of underwriting risk requires knowledge of the engineering disciplines and processes, construction plant and machinery, risk management, problem identification and solving, construction contracts, insurance policies and reinsurance restrictions.

Minimum Qualifications
  • B. Sc Civil qualification
  • Prepared to study towards a full FAIS qualification
  • Willing to do Regulatory Representatives exam
  • Knowledge of Engineering in the insurance industry is an advantage
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience on construction sites
  • Bilingual
  • Efficient in words, excel and outlook
  • Good communicator (verbal & written)
  • Must be a problem solver (able to assimilate large amounts of information and apply policy wording)
  • Willing to work late when required
