Job Description

As Chapter Lead, you'll manage a group of 15-20 technical professionals (Software Engineers, DevOps, QEs) with a focus on their career development, capability growth, and performance. You'll bring a technical background and people leadership experience to support, grow, and motivate your team in a hybrid, evolving environment. You'll be laying the foundations: building relationships, setting expectations, and establishing a growth and performance oriented team culture, supporting our people to thrive as the organisation scales.

Responsibilities
  • Provide regular 1:1s, career conversations, and performance feedback
  • Lead capability building across your chapter, including training, mentoring, and defining "what good looks like"
  • Support career progression, manage annual reviews, and identify development needs
  • Help shape and introduce growth frameworks for technical roles
  • Remove blockers, coach individuals, and build team culture
Skills And Experience Required
  • Proven experience leading people in a technical environment (e.g. Chapter Lead, Team Lead, or Line Manager)
  • A background in tech - you may have been a developer or worked closely in the delivery space
  • Strong coaching, mentoring, and performance management skills
  • Able to work through ambiguity and bring clarity where structure is evolving
  • Experience in hybrid environments; exposure to Agile and Waterfall methods
  • Comfortable navigating HR processes and people systems
