An exciting opportunity has become available for a Control Room Shift Manager to join CCTV Technologies, based at our modern offices in Claremont.

CCTV Technologies operates a state-of-the art 24 hour monitoring control centre, providing comprehensive CCTV and integrated security solutions across residential estates, healthcare facilities, commercial sites, and mixed use developments.

We currently manage over 1,600 remote cameras, leveraging advanced AI driven monitoring systems and intelligent analytics for 24/7 event detection and perimeter security. Rather than manual screen watching, our technology utilises automated behavioural analysis and real time alerts to detect breaches, monitor guardhouse activity, manage incidents, and enhance access control and staff oversight.

This role is responsible for the effective control and management of live control room operations, ensuring quality monitoring, protocol compliance, team supervision, and accurate incident reporting.

Key Responsibilities Control Room Management
  • Oversee live CCTV monitoring operations to ensure maximum effectiveness
  • Maintain high quality camera monitoring standards
  • Identify weaknesses in security management and implement corrective measures
  • Ensure strict adherence to site specific and control room protocols
  • Report equipment faults and security system shortcomings
  • Conduct daily operational checks, logging, and follow ups
Incident & Client Reporting
  • Compile and submit accurate incident reports to clients
  • Ensure real time escalation of critical events
  • Implement controls to minimise recurring incidents
Team Leadership & Supervision
  • Manage Control Room Operators and Testing Supervisors
  • Ensure all operators adhere to protocols and procedures
  • Train and develop control room staff
  • Monitor performance and maintain operational discipline
Requirements Qualifications
  • PSIRA Grade A (advantageous)
  • A relevant security or management qualification is advantageous
Experience
  • Proven experience as a Shift Manager or Senior Supervisor in a CCTV control room
  • Strong track record in a multi functional security monitoring environment
  • Experience within residential estates, healthcare facilities, or commercial sites is advantageous
Skills & Knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of CCTV systems and integrated security environments
  • Knowledge of perimeter security, access control systems, electric fencing, fire alarms and related systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong reporting and administrative capability
  • Ability to assess critical situations quickly and accurately
  • Strong leadership and conflict management skills
  • Computer literate
  • The role requires a high level of time discipline and punctual attendance.
Other Requirements
  • Clear credit record
  • No criminal record
  • Two written references
  • Valid driver's licence and own transport

Working Hours: 12 hour shifts on a rotation of 4 day shifts, followed by 4 days off, then 4 night shifts, followed by another 4 days off.

The salary will depend on experience, qualifications, attributes, and skills.
