The Data Intelligence Lead will be responsible for leading the regional analytics function, with a strong emphasis on commercial impact. The role requires expertise in data analysis, market evaluation, and opportunity identification, as well as the ability to initiate and implement new data strategies. The successful candidate will be a fast adopter and initiator, capable of building and managing regional data lakes to enhance business intelligence.

What you will do
  • Analyze regional business data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for commercial improvement.
  • Conduct market analysis to assess regional performance and competitive positioning.
  • Collaborate with telecom and banking teams to support loan product strategies and optimize business outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the region.
  • Proactively identify, collect, and integrate new data sets to strengthen analytics capabilities and business intelligence.
  • Present actionable insights and strategic recommendations to senior management for decision-making.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all analytics processes.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in fintech analytics.
  • Demonstrate a fast-adopting, initiative-driven approach to new tools, methodologies, and business challenges.
  • Analyze and synthesize internal performance data (customer behavior, product usage, revenue, repayment, churn, campaigns) together with external partner data from Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) and other ecosystem partners to identify trends, gaps and opportunities for revenue growth.
  • Generate actionable business insights and recommendations across key areas, including: Customer communication and campaign strategy, Product and feature enhancements, User experience improvements, Pricing and fee structure optimization, Customer journey and lifecycle management.
  • Work closely with Commercial, Marketing and Product teams to understand customer pain-points, market feedback and business questions, and translate them into clear analytical problem statements and business requirements for the BI and Data teams.
  • Work closely with BI teams to extend and optimize complex analyses through data exploration and innovative analytical approaches, ensuring insights translate into higher business value.
  • Define and own business requirements for dashboards, reports, and analytical models, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and operational priorities.
  • Interpret complex analytical outputs and communicate findings in a clear, structured, and decision-oriented manner to senior stakeholders, highlighting business impact and recommended next steps.
  • Continuously monitor performance indicators and partner data feeds to detect early signals of customer behavior shifts, operational bottlenecks, underperforming segments.
What you will bring
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a commercial analytics role, preferably within fintech, telecom, or banking sectors.
  • Strong analytical and commercial skills with expertise in data mining, statistical analysis, and market research.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify business opportunities and drive commercial growth through data insights.
  • Hands-on experience in designing and managing data lakes and large-scale data environments.
  • Proficiency in analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in sourcing and integrating new data sets is highly desirable.
  • Fast adopter of new technologies and a proactive initiator.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
