Diesel Mechanic

Location: Centurion,Gauteng,South AfricaAfrimat Lyttelton, based in Centurion has a vacancy for: Diesel Mechanic # Minimum Qualification / Experience Be in possession of a Grade 12 certificate or N4 equivalent. Have an applicable trade certificate as a Diesel Mechanic. 5 years + experience as a Diesel Mechanic. Computer literate - ability to open job cards. Basic electrical knowledge (auto electrical). Working knowledge of different tools. Ability to work on RSG, oil sampling as well as lubricating. Basic welding - Advantageous. Spray painting - Advantageous. # Duties and responsibilities (not limited to): Working knowledge of all earthmoving machinery (mobile plant, loaders, dumpers, excavators, LDVs, mobile crushing and screening machines) Perform first line maintenance task on all yellow fleet. Perform first line of breakdown repairs on plant and equipment. Assist with general duties assigned by Manager. Develop, modify, construct, and install related equipment required for the safe operation of all engineering equipment. Diagnosis, troubleshooting, fault finding and repair. Ordering of spares. Complete risk assessments.
