MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To provide electrical services and perform maintenance, repairs, and replacements on all relevant systems, infrastructure, and equipment in the locality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
  • Perform Technical jobs within the Locality
  • Perform administration duties within the technical function
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks within the Locality
  • Coordinate work performed by on-site contractors within the Locality
  • Maintain client and stakeholder relations within the technical function
REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION

NQF level 4 Electrical qualification with compulsory subjects:

Mathematics, Science or Industrial Electronics, Electro-technology or equivalent and Trade test certification: Electrical (3-phase), with Wireman's licence (Installation Electrician 3-phase) or equivalent Namibian registration (when applicable)

Multi-skilled in terms of experience with more than 8 years of electrical experience

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

More than 3 years of hospital experience

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
  • Maintenance and repair of electrical systems
  • Test equipment and devices
  • Heating and air conditioning systems
  • Fault finding and troubleshooting
  • Electrical regulations and guides
  • Alarm Panels, IT Networks & Communication Systems
  • Occupational Safety, Health, and Environment (e.g. OHS and ISO)
  • Knowledge of Mediclinic Planned Maintenance System
  • Mentoring of technical team members
  • Specialised skills and knowledge of some hospital systems and equipment
