This exciting opportunity is available in our Corporate Communication Department at Head Office in Cape Town, Western Cape to fulfil an Events Manager position.

We require the skills of an individual who has a passion for events management on a national and regional level.

What will you do?

We are seeking a motivated, detail driven individual with a true passion for the world of events management. This role calls for someone who thrives on creativity, precision, and collaboration-an individual who takes pride in delivering memorable experiences that leave a lasting impression. You will play a key role in conceptualizing, planning, and executing impactful events across both national and regional platforms, ensuring each initiative aligns with our brand vision and organizational goals.

What will make you successful in this role?
  • To provide a comprehensive events management service in relation to the smooth running of various Santam initiatives embarked on by the organisation, while managing a team of events managers and co ordinators.
  • Management of the events team and hands on involvement of events at an experiential level.
  • Budget management, ensuring adherence to budget.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders e.g. suppliers, EXCO etc.
Qualification and experience
  • Relevant Qualification in Events Management/similar (recommended)
  • 10+ years' experience managing large scale internal and external brand experiential events within a large financial services or FMCG concern
  • 5+ Experience in managing a team
Knowledge and skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Solid understanding of events processes, protocol and legalities
  • Building networks and good relationships
