About IFProjects by IF is a design consultancy working at the intersection of design, technology and trust. We help organisations build trustworthy products and services, and we're looking for a freelance social media consultant to help grow our LinkedIn presence and support our wider growth and marketing efforts.
The roleWe're looking for a freelance Social Media consultant, specialising in LinkedIn strategy and copywriting, for one day per week to boost IF's LinkedIn visibility and engagement. You'll work closely with our Marketing Lead and founding team to manage our LinkedIn presence across the full funnel - from growing our network to keeping conversations moving.
This is a hands-on role covering four key areas:Connection building - Build and maintain target client lists across key sectors in partnership with the Growth Lead. Send personalised connection requests on behalf of senior team members, growing IF's network strategically.
Content management - Work with our Marketing Lead to create and schedule LinkedIn posts. Edit content, manage the posting calendar, and help maintain a consistent rhythm of activity.
Engagement and inbox management - Comment on relevant posts to boost reach and visibility. Monitor inboxes, flagging messages that need a senior response.
CRM integration - Log LinkedIn activity in HubSpot, keeping our CRM connected to outreach efforts and feeding into the wider pipeline.
About youYou have experience managing LinkedIn for a consultancy, agency or professional services brand, for company and personal accounts. You understand how the platform works for B2B visibility and lead generation.
You're a strong copywriter with a feel for brand voice and storytelling. IF has a respected reputation in its space and all our content needs to reflect that. Our Marketing Lead will review everything, but we need someone who can get close to the right tone quickly.
You're organised, proactive and comfortable working autonomously once up to speed. You'll need to manage scheduling, keep track of multiple accounts, and stay on top of engagement without being chased.
Familiarity with tools like HubSpot, Dripify or similar LinkedIn management platforms is a plus.
PracticalitiesCommitment: 1 day per week initially, with flexibility to adjust as you gain autonomy
Day rate: Dependent on experience
Location: UK/ South Africa
Review process: Content reviewed by our Marketing Lead, with final sign-off from the CEO or wider leadership team on individual posts
Timeline: We need someone in place within the next 4 weeks, with activity running ahead of a key event in June
Tools: Dripify (multi-account LinkedIn management), HubSpot
