Description: Ensure comprehensive customer service in store. Merchandising of stock, shelf price labelling and housekeeping within designated area of responsibility.

• Provide customer service in-store; advise and assist customers on correct products and queries; assist with and resolve customer complaints.
• Support merchandising standards: merchandise bulk stock areas safely and according to store layout plan; ensure area is fully merchandised according to store layout and planograms.
• Maintain housekeeping: keep area free of obstacles, ensure stock is merchandised promptly after receipt, and ensure customers can enter and leave aisles safely; ensure correct shelf price labelling within area of responsibility; complete checklists when on duty with canteen and toilet/showers schedule.
• Safety (OHSA) compliance: use safety gear as required and ensure safety of customers and staff within area of responsibility; report discrepancies to the Store Manager; manage stock loss; report damaged stock.

• Safety (OHSA) Requirements
  • Maintain OHSA compliance and safe stock handling; report discrepancies and damaged stock; ensure safe movement of customers and colleagues.

• Minimum Grade 10 or NQF 3 with 1 year of related work experience, or Grade 12 with no related work experience.
• Ability to communicate in English and the dominant local language; valid South African ID or work permit.
• Ability to perform basic calculations; willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
