Introduction

Responsible for the receiving goods at Mintek Depot.

Key Performance Indicators

Goods Receiving

  • Recieve and physically inspect all delivered goods against purchase orders, delivery notes, and specifications.
  • Verify quantities, quality, and condition of goods before acceptance.
  • Reject or report damaged, incorrect, or short-delivered items and follow up with suppliers.

Documentation & System Control

  • Prepare and capture Goods Received Notes (GRNs) accurately and timeously.
  • Ensure all supporting documents (POs, delivery notes) are properly filed and linked to each receipt.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records for audit purposes.

Stock Handover & Coordination

  • Transfer received items to stores in line with Mintek's internal procedures.
  • Coordinate with Stores, Procurement, and SBU regarding deliveries and shortages.

SHEQ

  • Handle goods in line with occupational health and safety standards.
Job Knowledge and Experience

At least 2-3 years' experience in goods receiving, stores, or inventory management.

Qualifications
  • Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics or related field (NQF 6)
Behavioural Competencies
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Must have good work ethics to maintain credibility of work.
  • Be able to work in a team.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to cope in a stressful and demanding environment.
