Our mine, situated in the Limpopo Province about 60 kilometers from Lydenburg and 40 kilometers from Burgersfort, is a world class producer of Chrome Ore.

The successful applicant will report to the HR Superintendent Operations or nominee.

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Grade 12 / Standard 10 Certificate.
  • National Diploma: Human Resource Management or Relevant Diploma / Degree.
  • Code 08 (B) Drivers Licence.
  • Advantageous: South African Board of Personnel Practitioners membership.
EXPERIENCE (including but not limited to)
  • 2 years practical experience as HR Generalist.
  • 1-2 years practical experience in Recruitment.
DUTIES (including but not limited to)
  • Coordinate full recruitment process in a timely and effective manner, meeting customer requirements while adhering to labour request. Ensure that the advert template is loaded online by the HR Practitioner and advise Area HR Practitioner to raise a requisition. Ensure that the advertisement is published online once the labour request is approved by all. Screen all applications received online in accordance with the minimum requirements of the position. Extend the shortlist to Line Supervisor shortlisting. Draft a shortlist summary to confirm the shortlist and submit it to the HR Superintendent for approval. Ensure that interviews are scheduled accordingly and all logistics are arranged. Ensure that relevant assessments are arranged where necessary. Ensure that candidates complete all necessary recruitment documentation and collect necessary documents. Ensure that criminal, credit and qualification verification are conducted for all candidates interviewed. Ensure that employment reference checks are conducted by HR Clerk. Prepare interview scores and assessment outcomes and submit for approval. Prepare offer of employment and submit it to Line Supervisor for approval. Provide interview outcome feedback to candidates. Ensure that welcome notes for new employees are communicated to the workforce timely. Prepare audit file for accurate record keeping. Update the HR System on receipt of the recruitment letters. Ensure that new employees are engaged correctly on the system and all documents are completed.
  • Provide weekly recruitment progress reports (Engagements, Promotions, Terminations and Salary Increases) to supervisor/manager and line manager. Provide annual bonus reports on a monthly basis. Prepare recruitment tracker report on a weekly basis. Prepare payroll reports on a monthly basis. Document control and record keeping compliance.
  • Communicate weekly interview schedule and new engagements to the HR team. Effective communication with shortlisted candidates. Effective communication with candidates offered a contract of employment.
  • Update the miners and artisan's tracker according to their years of experience. Align salaries as per approved salary scale and/or payroll reconciliation. Updating conditions of employment and align with wage agreement. Yearly analysis of employees nearing retirement. Organise retirement training and send them to their Area HR Practitioner to complete the documents. Analysing employees going on long service according to the relevant DCM categories. Participate in the planning and organization of the yearly long service award function. Submit the approved list of employees on the long service to payroll on a yearly basis.
  • Participate in the job evaluation process. Coordinate the job evaluation process when required. Document all outcomes of the job evaluation process for control management.
  • Responsible for the updating of the mine wide labour plan. Generate monthly labour plan report.
