Inventory Control Assistant

Hello Group is seeking to appoint a reliable and detail-oriented Inventory Control Assistant to support warehouse inventory operations. The successful candidate will assist with stock receiving, stock control, cycle counts, and maintaining accurate inventory records to ensure efficient warehouse operations and stock accuracy.

• Assist with offloading delivery trucks within required turnaround times.
• Verify stock received against supplier invoices to ensure quantities are accurate.
• Report any discrepancies, damaged stock, or packaging changes.
• Ensure all received stock is packed and stored correctly within 24 hours.

• Perform daily cycle counts to maintain accurate stock records.
• Assist with weekly and monthly stock takes.
• Ensure stock is stored in the correct warehouse locations after transfers.
• Maintain neatly packed and well-organized warehouse stock at all times.
• Ensure the FIFO (First In, First Out) method is applied to inventory.

• Supply dispatch with forecasted stock timeously to support order fulfilment.
• Assist stock importers with kitting and repackaging stock.
• Ensure repackaged stock and returns are properly stored and recorded.
• Track warehouse consumables and escalate when stock levels reach minimum levels.

• Assist the Inventory Control Leader with warehouse tasks when required.
• Support finance where necessary to ensure stock records match system balances.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards in the warehouse.
• Ensure all stock is correctly marked, packed, and stored.

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Warehouse, stock control, or logistics experience
• Basic numeracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment
• Good organizational and communication skills
