Kirklees Council's Employment and Skills Service is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity to join our Connect to Work - Supported Employment programme. We are expanding our support for care experienced residents, for whom we act as a corporate parent, and these new roles will be central to delivering high quality employment support using the Supported Employment Quality Framework (SEQF) model.
We are recruiting two Job Coaches, and we're open to part time and flexible working arrangements.

What we're looking forWe're seeking compassionate, motivated individuals who are passionate about making a difference for care experienced adults. You'll bring the confidence and creativity to guide people into meaningful, sustainable work.
Essential and desirable criteria includes:
- Lived or professional experience of the care system
- A relevant qualification (degree, vocational qualification, or equivalent experience) in employment support, coaching, or a related field (desirable)
- Experience supporting people into employment, with a practical, solution focused approach (desirable)
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate and build strong relationships with employers, partners, and stakeholders
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently, managing competing priorities
- Proven experience supporting or advocating for care experienced adults, using a trauma informed and person centred approach
- Flexibility in working hours, including occasional evening work and travel to meet clients and employers
- A full driving licence and access to a vehicle (desirable, with exceptions considered for disabled applicants)
