Job Title: Junior Shipping / Logistics Coordinator (Imports)

Salary: Up to R10K CTC (including a pension fund)

Area: Woodstock, Cpt

Based full time onsite, permanent role.

This role is only available to candidates already settled in Cape Town and not currently considering relocation candidates.

About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive and solutions-focused Junior Logistics Coordinator on behalf of a manufacturing client to join their Shipping Department. The successful candidate will support the management of import shipments, customs clearance, and related logistics processes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods. Experience working at a clearing and forwarding agent/company is essential to understand import processes and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate import shipments from suppliers, ensuring timely delivery to the warehouse.
  • Prepare and manage customs clearance documentation in compliance with regulations.
  • Monitor shipments and resolve discrepancies or delays.
  • Support bond store and rebate processes.
  • Liaise with suppliers, service providers and internal teams to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of shipping activities.
Requirements:
  • 1-3 years of experience working for a clearing and forwarding agent/company.
  • Strong knowledge of shipping Incoterms (essential).
  • Understanding of bond store and rebate processes.
  • Knowledge of Easyclear is advantageous.
  • Experience with SAP is advantageous.
  • Highly proactive & efficient, with a solutions-focused mindset.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel & Outlook.
