Learning & Development Consultant (Junior)
Job Description
The Learning & Development Consultant (Junior) supports the design, coordination, and delivery of learning initiatives that enhance employee capability and performance. A key requirement of this role is the ability to design and facilitate product house content specific to Vitality RSA. Collaborating with L&D and People colleagues, the role contributes to needs analysis, programme development, facilitation, and evaluation while building consultative and instructional design capability.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in conducting learning needs analysis with business areas
- Support development of learning plans aligned to team objectives
- Coordinate logistics for learning programmes (virtual and in-person)
- Maintain learning calendars and internal communications
- Design and develop product house training content for Vitality RSA
- Contribute to the design of workshops and blended learning solutions
- Develop training materials, participant guides, slide decks, and facilitator notes
- Support creation of e-learning content and digital resources
- Ensure learning materials are engaging, accessible, and aligned with brand standards
- Facilitate product house learning modules for Vitality RSA
- Facilitate virtual sessions and group discussions
- Support post-session follow-up and learner engagement
- Respond to learner queries and provide guidance on development resources
- Work with the People Team to gather feedback and identify learning needs
- Build relationships with line managers to support learning uptake and application
- Collect and analyse feedback data (surveys, attendance, completion rates)
- Support preparation of learning impact and evaluation reports
- Track key learning metrics and maintain accurate records
- Upload and maintain learning content on the LMS
- Monitor learner progress and completion
- Support coordination with external learning providers where required
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Education, Business, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Interest in or working toward professional L&D accreditation (e.g., CIPD or ATD) is advantageous
- 2-3 years' experience in Learning & Development, HR, Talent, or Training
- Experience supporting or delivering training sessions
- Exposure to instructional design or content development
- Experience using an LMS or digital learning tools
- Demonstrates curiosity and commitment to professional development
- Actively seeks feedback and applies learning to improve practice
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Confident engaging with groups and stakeholders
- Manages multiple projects and deadlines effectively
- Strong attention to detail
- Works effectively within HR and cross-functional teams
- Builds positive and professional relationships
- Comfortable using virtual learning platforms
- Basic knowledge of learning technologies and content tools
