We're looking for a hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead the upkeep, reliability, and performance of fixed & mobile plant and machinery within our busy feedlot. About Koojan Downs Feeding Facility: Koojan Downs feeding facility is located 25kms from Moora and 160kms north of Perth. Koojan Downs is part of the integrated beef supply chain for Harvest Road. This integrated beef supply chain ranges from north to southwest of Western Australia and is based on best-practice ecological planning and animal welfare management. Opportunity: We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance division. You will be managing: All feedlot maintenance including pen cleaning and composting activities, feed mill and all plant and equipment. The Workshop which provides mechanical service to the Koojan Downs Aggregation, backgrounding and farming business units.Located near Moora, WA we are WA's largest feeding facility and are designed to supply Harvest Road's processing facility, Harvey Beef.You will be passionate about modelling exceptional workplace health and safety levels and ensuring environmental impact is minimised and compliant. You will play a critical leadership role in managing projects effectively and to scope, role model technical best practice and establish purpose built standard policies and procedures to support and improve. Please note: This is a permanent position, those on short term/working holiday visas will not be considered. This is not a FIFO role. You will need to have a current driver's licence and own transport. Key Responsibilities of the role: Ensure serving of machinery is completed to compliance and regulatory standards. Maintain and order all spare parts, oils and fuels for the aggregation. Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice maintenance vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance. Manage, coach and develop a high performing maintenance team that meets agreed objectives, and which delivers best practice results. Adhere to daily and weekly checks to ensure smooth operation of site. Ensure a safe work environment for all staff. Ideal skillset: Extensive plant level experience with significant proven management experience. Mechanical experience. Welding and oxy skills. Fabrication skills. Strong focus on safety, animal welfare and bio-security standards. People management skills and ability to manage a variety of cross-functional team members. Strong data analysis skills - can interpret reports and use data to guide decisions and insights. Technical capability and understanding. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping. Excellent computer, written, verbal and presentation skills. Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making. Motivated and hard-working, willing to be part of the Koojan team culture. Flexibility - able to meet changing requirements. Possess sufficient fitness level to carry out required tasks.
