Job Description
We're recruiting on behalf of our client in the automotive manufacturing sector for an experienced Production Control & Logistics Manager to lead end-to-end planning, inventory, and logistics operations in a high-volume environment.
This role ensures seamless production planning, pull-based material flow using Getsudo and Kanban systems, lean inventory management, inbound and outbound logistics efficiency, and consistent OTIF customer delivery performance. The successful candidate will drive operational excellence aligned to global automotive standards.
Key Responsibilities Production Planning & Control- Develop and manage the Master Production Schedule
- Implement and sustain Getsudo and Kanban systems
- Align production output with customer call-offs
- Manage capacity planning and constraints
- Lead S&OP alignment with global stakeholders
- Maintain lean stocking strategies
- Manage raw material, WIP, and finished goods inventory
- Oversee aging analysis and stock risk mitigation
- Implement cycle counts and annual stocktakes
- Control conforming and non-conforming stock
- Optimise warehouse layout and storage systems
- Ensure FIFO and batch traceability compliance
- Supervise material handling and line feeding
- Manage quarantine and non-conforming materials
- Drive ERP and WMS utilisation
- Manage supplier delivery performance
- Coordinate freight and transport optimisation
- Ensure seamless finished goods dispatch
- Monitor OTIF delivery performance
- Track and trace shipments
- Drive Value Stream Mapping initiatives
- Sustain pull systems and waste elimination projects
- Implement 5S across logistics areas
- Optimise Kanban loops and container sizing
- Develop and manage annual budgets
- Monitor logistics and warehousing costs
- Drive cost-saving initiatives
- Manage working capital
- Ensure ERP and MRP master data integrity
- Develop automated reporting dashboards
- Drive system-based planning accuracy
- Lead, coach and develop planning and logistics teams
- Drive performance management and succession planning
- Foster a strong safety culture
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering or related field
- 8-10 years of automotive manufacturing experience
- 5+ years in a senior Production Control or Logistics leadership role
- Strong ERP/MRP/WMS experience (SAP preferred)
- Advanced Excel and data analytics capability
- Proven Lean and Kaizen implementation experience
- Deep understanding of Getsudo, Kanban and Pull systems
