Operations Leader - Product Distribution & Supply Chain
Job Description
A growing product distribution business based in Roodepoort, Gauteng is seeking an experienced Operations Leader to oversee the end-to-end operational value chain, including supplier coordination, contract manufacturing, inventory planning, and warehouse logistics. This hands-on role is responsible for ensuring efficient coordination between suppliers, manufacturing partners, sales administration, and distribution while maintaining strong service levels and inventory control in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications- 5-8 years' experience in operations, supply chain, or business management
- Experience managing contract manufacturers and external suppliers
- Background in FMCG, consumer goods, distribution, or product-based environments required
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems (Odoo, Syspro, SAGE or similar)
- Advanced Excel and strong analytical ability
- Proven leadership experience managing operational or warehouse teams
- Manage day-to-day operations from procurement through to delivery
- Coordinate suppliers, contract manufacturers, warehouse operations, and sales administration
- Oversee inventory planning, replenishment cycles, and demand alignment
- Monitor supplier performance, production schedules, and stock availability
- Manage procurement of buy-out/white-label products
- Ensure efficient order fulfilment, warehouse operations, and logistics processes
- Control operational costs and support budgeting and planning
- Lead and develop the operations and warehouse team
