Job Purpose
The Department of Social Development, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to render a secretarial support service to a senior manager(s).
Qualifications
Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification) plus an accredited secretarial diploma and/or administrative qualification on the level of NQF level 5 or relevant higher tertiary qualification; A minimum of 3 years experience in rendering a support service to senior management.
Key Performance Areas
- Provides a secretarial / receptionist support service to the manager
- Renders administrative support services
- Provides support to manager regarding meetings
- Supports the manager with the administration of the manager's budget
- Studies the relevant Public Service and departmental prescripts / policies and other documents and ensures that the application thereof is understood

- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, prescripts and procedures
