About this role

The Quality Control Inspector P145 is responsible for enhancing the oversight capability of the Compliance Department within the Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO). The role ensures that all maintenance activities, materials, documentation, and processes comply with applicable aviation regulations, company procedures, and airworthiness standards. The position plays a critical role in maintaining regulatory compliance and supporting safe and efficient aircraft maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct inspections of maintenance work in progress to ensure compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform random inspections of incoming parts, materials, and shipped items to verify correct documentation and packaging standards.
  • Inspect work packs during and after maintenance activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to Maintenance Organisation Procedures (MOP).
  • Monitor the condition and correct use of tools and ESD equipment to ensure compliance with organisational standards.
  • Compile inspection reports and communicate findings to the Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Identify non-compliance and take appropriate action, including stopping any activity that may compromise safety or regulatory approval.
Key Requirements
  • National Senior Certificate (Grade 12). Tertiary studies in aviation and/or quality assurance subjects may be advantageous.
  • Must hold an SACAA AME License in categories A and C, which includes A320 aircraft.
  • Sound knowledge of aviation regulatory requirements and airworthiness documentation.
  • Familiarity with Maintenance Organisation Procedures (MOP) and aviation compliance processes.
  • Above average computer literacy and the ability to compile inspection reports and maintain records.
  • High level of attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • The ability to work on his/her own or as a member of a team.

  • Regulatory Compliance & Aviation Standards- Strong understanding and application of aviation regulations, compliance requirements, and maintenance procedures.
  • Attention to Detail- Ability to identify discrepancies in documentation, tooling, materials, and maintenance processes.
  • Quality Assurance & Inspection- Skilled in performing inspections, audits, and quality checks to ensure adherence to standards.
  • Problem Solving & Decision Making- Ability to identify risks or non-compliance and take appropriate corrective action, including stopping unsafe operations.
  • Communication & Reporting- Ability to clearly document findings, compile inspection reports, and communicate effectively with management and operational teams
