Vector's vehicle fleet includes a food industry first in 'multi-temperature' vehicles enabling the company to service business across frozen, chilled and ambient temperature zones on a single delivery.

Job Purpose

To analyse, and coordinate all tracking systems, CCTV Cameras and investigations within the Centralised Control Room. To develop and implement security and risk control programmes in accordance with Company standards and recognized best practices to fulfil business strategies.

Key Responsibilities Monitor Security Systems
  • Continuously monitors systems for security breaches or malicious activities.
Incident Response
  • Analyzes security incidents and breaches, implementing measures to prevent future occurrences.
Vulnerability Assessment
  • Conduct regular security assessments to identify vulnerabilities.
Policy Development
  • Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance.
Training and Awareness
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on security best practices and potential risks.
Reporting
  • Prepare reports on security breaches making recommendations for improvements.
Incident Investigation
  • Analyze post-incident/loss investigations to identify root causes and determine appropriate preventative and corrective action.
  • Seek continual improvement in security and risk standards by regularly monitoring site activities and assessing the implications of any new developments.
Effective Teamwork and Self-Management
  • Demonstrate effective self-management in terms of planning and prioritising, and self-development.
  • Follow through to ensure that quality and productivity standards of work are consistently and accurately maintained.
  • Assist colleagues and employees' expectations and communicate appropriately.
  • Demonstrate willingness to help others and "go the extra mile" to meet team targets and objectives.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required for the Job Qualifications and Experience
  • Matric.
  • Recognised three-year relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Experience as a CCTV professional in the Security industry.
  • Experience in investigation and tracking of vehicles.
  • PSIRA.
  • Valid Code EB drivers' license.
  • No criminal convictions.
  • Be able to prepare detailed reports which include recommendations to Management on improvements to security.
Skills and Competencies
  • Proven and developed leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Unquestionable integrity.
  • Good communication skills.
