Job Description

Awealth advisory practice has an opportunity for a deadline-driven SAIPA qualified Accountant to become part of their value-driven accounting team. This is a permanent opportunity, the first 3 months will be in-office daily, after that hybrid (2 days at home, 3 days in-office). Office hours are 08h00 to 17h00 - Monday to Thursday, 08h00 to 16h30 - Fridays.

This role involves handling the accounting duties for the practice and several client businesses. It's a great opportunity for a proactive individual to develop and manage a high-quality client base.

Responsibilities:
  • Recording and reconciling financial transactions using accounting software.
  • Preparing monthly reports and management accounts to support decision-making.
  • Assisting with the drafting of year-end financial statements.
  • Delivering day-to-day accounting support to the senior accountant and the broader team.
  • Overseeing accurate financial record keeping across multiple client businesses.
  • Contributing to the growth of a profitable accounting services division within the group.
Requirements
  • Accounting services-related degree / SAIPA registered professional accountant designation with at least 2 years' working experience.
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry beneficial.
  • Proven experience in performing accounting activities.
  • Proficiency in using Xero or Sage would be highly beneficial.
  • Fluency in English and Afrikaans.
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset.

Fixed basic salary per month plus performance based bonus.
