What you'll be doingAs Sales Director for PayProp in South Africa, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and strengthening our leadership position within the property technology sector.
Reporting to the General Manager, RoW, you will lead a high performing sales team while remaining hands on, carrying your own strategic sales target and leading from the front.
Sales Leadership & Performance- Lead, inspire and develop a high performing sales team, setting clear objectives and performance standards.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive sustainable revenue growth and market penetration.
- Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching and mentoring, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Build a structured, disciplined sales environment with clear pipeline management and forecasting accuracy.
- Identify and prioritise key market segments, verticals and enterprise opportunities.
- Develop targeted go to market strategies to win new clients and expand market share.
- Actively engage in strategic sales activity including prospecting, negotiation and closing high value deals.
- Own complex, multi stakeholder sales cycles from initial engagement through to contract signature.
- Act as a visible ambassador for PayProp and within the property industry.
- Represent the business at conferences, exhibitions, and key industry events.
- Contribute thought leadership, panel participation and speaking engagements.
- Build strong relationships with industry influencers, partners and senior decision makers.
- Be recognised as a credible voice within the sector, strengthening brand authority and market positioning.
- Analyse and optimise sales processes to improve efficiency and conversion rates.
- Partner with Marketing, Product and Customer Success to align commercial strategy with customer needs and market trends.
- Provide market feedback to inform product development and competitive positioning.
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes and competitor activity.
- Leverage insights to refine value propositions and maintain competitive advantage.

We are seeking a commercially astute, visible and results driven Sales Director with:
- Minimum 7+ years' experience in B2B SaaS technology sales.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and exceeding ambitious targets.
- Demonstrable experience building and leading high performing sales teams.
- Strong executive presence and credibility at C suite level.
- Experience managing complex, multi stakeholder sales cycles.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Strategic mindset with a hands on, delivery focused approach.
- Confidence and credibility to represent the business publicly at industry events and conferences.
- A proactive, resilient and growth oriented attitude.
- Property / PropTech experience is advantageous, but not essential.
- Fully onboarded across PayProp and products, ICP and sales strategy.
- Established credibility with the sales team and key internal stakeholders.
- Reviewed pipeline health and identified immediate growth opportunities.
- Implemented refined sales plans and performance metrics.
- Strengthened pipeline quality and forecasting discipline.
- Established presence within key industry forums and events.
- Delivered measurable uplift in sales activity and momentum.
- Achieved or exceeded revenue targets.
- Demonstrated sustained team performance improvement.
- Secured key strategic wins in target market segments.
- Established yourself as a recognised industry voice and brand ambassador.
We offer a hybrid working arrangement; however, this role requires you to be based in the Western Cape and you should be prepared to travel to our office in Stellenbosch as required in addition to visits to clients across the country when needed.
