Role Summary

We are seeking a high calibre FP&A professional with strong commercial instincts, analytical depth and ambition to operate at the core of a fast scaling fintech. You will run critical planning, forecasting and performance insight processes while acting as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders across finance, product and commercial teams. This role sits at the centre of that transformation, partnering directly with the CFO and senior leadership to drive performance, insight and value creation across the business. Willingness to travel periodically to Nairobi and other African markets is required.

What you'll do
  1. Financial Planning, Forecasting and Analysis
    • Lead budgeting, rolling forecasts and long range planning across the group.
    • Develop driver based financial models to support decision making and scenario analysis.
    • Deliver clear performance reporting with actionable commercial insight.
    • Identify risks, opportunities and value creation levers across markets and products.
  2. Performance Insight and Board Reporting
    • Produce monthly executive packs and Board level materials.
    • Translate complex financial data into concise strategic narratives.
    • Track KPIs across revenue, margin, unit economics and cash performance.
  3. Commercial Finance and Business Partnering
    • Partner with commercial, product and operations leaders on:
      • Pricing corridors and margin optimisation.
      • Investment cases and expected project ROI.
      • Market entry analysis and strategic initiatives.
    • Support disciplined capital allocation across the portfolio.
  4. Fundraising and Strategic Support
    • Assist in capital raising processes, including investor materials, financial models and due diligence.
    • Contribute to strategic planning, M&A evaluation and long term value creation initiatives.
  5. AI Enabled Finance and Process Excellence
    • Leverage modern AI and automation tools to improve:
      • Forecast accuracy.
      • Reporting efficiency.
      • Data integrity and insight generation.
    • Champion best in class FP&A tooling and analytical methodologies.
What we are looking for
  • 4+ years of FP&A, commercial finance or transaction driven finance experience.
  • Background in fintech, payments, technology or high growth environments preferred.
  • Exposure to Board reporting, forecasting and business partnering strongly desirable.
  • Exceptionally strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
  • Commercially astute with the ability to connect numbers to strategy.
  • Clear communicator capable of influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Highly driven, intellectually curious and comfortable operating in ambiguity.
  • Motivated to build in a fast growth African fintech context.
  • Energised by working directly with executive leadership.
  • Passion for using AI and modern tools to transform finance.
