Job Summary The purpose of this role is to contribute towards Absa's strategic priority of being an Active Force for Good in everything we do by enabling and facilitating employee volunteering. Job Description Colleague Engagement: Drive awareness and participation across the Group. Lead delivery of identified Group volunteering initiatives on the continent, annual calendar, with support from the Africa Regions Corporate Citizenship leads. Ongoing coordination, management and socialization of AGL volunteering initiatives Support businesses across South Africa and the Africa Regions Corporate Citizenship leads in the delivery of employee volunteering interventions through expert input and guidance, to enable consistent delivery and best practice approaches across the organisation. Manage end-to-end delivery of key volunteering initiatives such as Youth month, International Days of Importance etc. Oversee and manage the utilization of the Force for Good portal, including the relevant technology Supplier, and internal stakeholders to ensure consistent data collection for the portfolio. This includes supporting Africa Regions Corporate Citizenship leads. Provide training and support on the utilization of the Force for Good portal and applicable guidelines, to enable usage, adoption, and reporting. Spearheading internal and external collaborations aligned to volunteering strategic objectives Marketing and Communication - liaise with Internal Communication, Brand and Marketing and Communication teams to communicate the work of the portfolio internally and externally Governance: Guide governance and regulatory processes and requirements on employee volunteering initiatives in line with applicable policies and standards. Work with the Governance team to define and implement robust processes to ensure portfolio delivery is in line with required standards Prepare guidelines and monitor delivery of volunteering initiatives to ensure alignment with the guidelines for various employee participation options Ensure the requisite due diligence and contracting processes are followed where applicable. Participate in annual audits where required Monitoring & Reporting: Determine impact metrics together with the M&E portfolio and ensure reporting aligned to the metrics to inform strategy and future delivery. Monitor how initiatives are being delivered by ensuring post activation reporting is in place. Prepare quarterly reports on employee volunteering initiatives Drive utilisation of the Force for Good portal across the Group to ensure accurate reporting of volunteering initiatives Disaster relief management: Lead disaster relief efforts for the Group Provide guidance to Africa Regions on disaster relief initiatives as and when required Manage and facilitate implementation of disaster relief efforts in South Africa, in collaboration with the relevant regional stakeholders Preferred Education: A relevant B-degree in Commerce, Development, Policy or similar Certification in project management / marketing / communication would be advantageous (in addition to a relevant degree). Preferred Experience: 5+ years' experience in social development, social impact, corporate citizenship, project management required Marketing and communication experience is advantageous Large corporate experience where complex social development and disaster relief projects were managed Knowledge and Skills: Expert understanding of social development and associated activities, systems management and administration Good knowledge of social development principles, regulations and best practice Attention to detail Strong administration skills, organized and process-orientated Agile thinker, solutions-orientated Strategy and analytical with passion for responding to socio economic challenges and creating social impact Project management Education Bachelor s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: Marketing (Required) Absa Bank Limited is an equal opportunity, affirmative action employer.
