Job Summary We're looking for a Senior Specialist: Colleague Digital Engagement to lead the design and delivery of innovative internal digital marketing strategies that turn every colleague into a proud brand ambassador. In this high-impact role, you will drive an integrated colleague engagement and digital brand strategy that enhances culture, fosters connection, and amplifies our brand from the inside out. You will design and optimise digital campaigns, employee advocacy programmes, and personalised engagement journeys using analytics, insights, and next-generation tools. This role partners closely with Human Capital, Brand, Marketing, and Corporate Citizenship to create seamless, meaningful colleague experiences across every digital and human touchpoint. Job Description Role Strategic Leadership Develop and execute a colleague digital engagement strategy aligned to business and people objectives. Translate strategic goals into measurable operational plans.Digital Experience & Advocacy Create compelling digital experiences that build pride, belonging, and advocacy. Lead organisation-wide employee advocacy programmes and internal marketing campaigns.Innovation & Technology Pilot new digital tools, platforms, and AI-driven insights to personalise colleague engagement. Champion digital transformation, automation, and adoption across the organisation.Operational Excellence Streamline workflows using standardised toolkits, templates, and governance frameworks. Ensure flawless execution of campaigns and internal communication initiatives.Data & Insights Use analytics to measure engagement, optimise performance, and guide decision-making. Deliver actionable insights to leadership based on campaign and engagement data.Stakeholder Management Build trusted partnerships across business units to drive integrated internal brand initiatives. Act as a strategic advisor on colleague engagement and digital culture-building. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's Degree / Advanced Diploma / Postgraduate Certificate (NQF7) in: Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Social Sciences or related fields Postgraduate degree (MBA, master's in digital marketing/communication) advantageous 5-12 years' experience in digital marketing, internal communications, or employee engagement, preferably in B2B corporate environments such as financial services, fintech, SaaS, or consulting Minimum 3 years' people management experience Strong experience in digital platforms, employee advocacy, internal campaigns, analytics, and MarTech ecosystems Exposure to process design, optimisation, CX, technology, and data-driven decision-making is preferred Key Competencies Strategic Thinking & Business Acumen Digital & Martech Fluency Employee Advocacy Activation Data-Driven Optimisation Project & Stakeholder Management Communication & Content Creation Collaboration, Influence & Leadership Governance, Compliance & Risk Awareness Education Bachelor's Degree: Digital Marketing and Emerging Technology, Master's Degree: Digital Marketing and Emerging Technology Absa Bank Limited is an equal opportunity, affirmative action employer.
