The Snr Test Analyst is responsible for ensuring the quality, accuracy, and business suitability of Warehouse Management System (WMS) solutions. This role requires deep hands-on testing experience, strong SQL capability, and extensive knowledge of warehouse operations and WMS behaviour within complex enterprise environments.

The role works closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and Warehouse stakeholders to validate business-critical functionality, integrations, and data integrity across multiple systems.

Key Responsibilities

Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Analyse business and functional requirements to design comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
  • Execute functional, system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing for WMS-related changes.
  • Ensure testing adequately reflects real-world warehouse usage and operational constraints.
  • Identify, log, manage, and retest defects using Azure DevOps, ensuring clear documentation and traceability.
  • Validate fixes and support release readiness and sign-off activities.

Warehouse Management Systems Expertise

  • Apply strong domain knowledge of WMS functionality to assess solution quality and business fit.
  • Validate complex system configurations, rules, and operational scenarios within the WMS.
  • Test integrations between the WMS and other enterprise systems, ensuring transactional and data consistency.
  • Provide input into requirement reviews from a quality and operational risk perspective.

Data Validation & SQL Analysis

  • Use SQL to validate system behaviour and test outcomes at database level.
  • Analyse data to investigate defects, discrepancies, and integration issues.
  • Perform data reconciliation to ensure accuracy across systems.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and expected outcomes.
  • Support business users during UAT, including defect triage and impact assessment.
  • Communicate testing progress, quality risks, and outcomes clearly to stakeholders.

Quality & Process Improvement

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing practices, standards, and documentation.
  • Ensure full traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects in Azure DevOps.
  • Mentor and support junior test team members where required.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years' experience as a Test Analyst, with significant exposure to Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Strong hands-on testing experience across complex enterprise systems.
  • Deep understanding of WMS functionality and warehouse operations.
  • Strong SQL skills, including complex queries and data validation.
  • Experience testing system integrations and data-driven processes.
  • Proven experience using Azure DevOps for test case management and defect tracking.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.

Technical Environment

  • Warehouse Management Systems
  • Azure DevOps (test management and defect tracking)

Nice to Have

  • Experience in logistics, retail, distribution, or FMCG environments.
  • Exposure to ERP platforms.
  • Experience supporting large-scale implementations or warehouse go-lives.
  • ISTQB or equivalent testing certification.
