Job Description: As a Multimedia Designer you will create multimedia assets that answer client objectives and engage consumers. You will work on a wide range of projects including video editing, animation, graphic design, multimedia presentations. You will be responsible for creative output within these areas and will be required to work closely with the digital team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Graphic Design: Create eye-catching graphics for digital materials, including but not limited to social media content, banners, email comms, digital newsletters, multimedia presentations, websites.
  • Collaborate with the Art Directors and Copywriters to conceptualise and execute designs that align with brand guidelines.
  • Video Editing: Edit and assemble raw video footage and graphics into compelling video content. Add effects, transitions, and music to enhance the visual appeal of videos.
  • Aiding in video animation and production
  • Animation Create 2D animation assets
  • Social Media Social Media creative - all artwork for all social platforms following best practice for each platform
  • PowerPoint Multimedia Presentations: Design engaging multimedia presentations for sales pitches, webinars, and internal communication. Incorporate visual elements, animations, and interactive features to make presentations informative and captivating.
  • Advantageous Webdesign Webpage Design/Updates - Creation and layout of webpages, understanding functionality and UX & UI
Requirements
  • To be based and work in the office in Bedfordview
  • Proven Experience: a strong portfolio showcasing previous work in graphic design, video editing and animation.
  • Creativity and an eye for detail.
  • The ability to develop solutions/new approaches to briefs/design problems and convey these design approaches in the form of key visuals, mock-ups, storyboards or animations/edits.
  • Have a solid understanding of design principles, typography, colour theory, and layout.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills and be able to collaborate actively with others in a cross-functional team.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/jobs simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Must have a tertiary qualification with a strong digital foundation.
  • Be Mac literate.
  • Must have a good understanding of Online Marketing.

Software Competence

  • Thorough understanding of composition settings.
  • Work in 2D (3D space is a bonus but not necessary).
  • Work with Ai, PSD Pro imports into AE.
  • It is advantageous to know how to use scripts.
  • Understanding best practice and workflows for efficient editing.
  • Understanding sequence settings.
  • Ability to sound design, colour grade, edit footage and integrate AE files into PPro.
  • Competent.
  • Understanding different formats and codes (for digital, web, broadcast, outdoor media).
  • Understanding how to optimize file size for targeted platform.
  • Understand how to export with alpha channels.

Adobe Illustrator

  • Highly competent.
  • Understanding of layers for animation.
  • Able to simplify lock-ups and logos for importing into After Effects.
  • Understand how to use Smart Objects to optimize files for animations.
  • Understanding different import methods of PSD into After Effects.
  • Ability to correctly merge and rasterize layers to optimize for targeted platform.
  • Excellent understanding of layers, masks and groups; and how they react when imported into AE.

Adobe XD/Figma (bonus but not necessary).
