SUCCESSION OPPORTUNITY: MASTER ELECTRICIAN (EE)

To provide supervision and technical expertise in the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting on work executed on all electrical system and industrial electrical installations to ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and uninterrupted operations.

• Do electrical installation and maintenance on all electrical systems.
• Install, inspect, test, maintain, and repair industrial systems, equipment and machinery.
• Maintain LV, MV, control panels, MCCs, PLC interfaces, VSDs, and power distribution systems.
• Perform fault finding and root cause analysis on electrical breakdowns.
• Ensure preventative maintenance schedules are developed and executed.
• Ensure statutory compliance and adherence to safety regulations and standards.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with OHS Act, SANS standards and Company safety procedures.
• Conduct risk assessment, lock out procedures and electrical isolation.
• Ensure compliance with certification of compliance (CoC) requirements.
• Participate in audits and safety inspection.
• Do planning for all activities and administration for accurate record keeping.
• Provide supervision and leadership to the Electricians, Apprentices and contractors.
• Allocate work, monitor performance, and provide technical guidance.
• Mentor and train junior staff and Apprentices.
• Ensure discipline, quality standards are adhered to and safe work practices.
• Plan electrical work and shutdown activities.
• Compile job cards, reports, and maintenance records.
• Assist with budgeting spares control and equipment lifecycle planning.
• Liaise with engineering, production, and external suppliers.
• Projects and improvements.
• Participate in new installations, upgrades, and commissioning.
• Support energy efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist in design reviews and technical specifications.
• Industrial electrical system, legal and compliance.
• Control circuits and instrumentation, fault finding, diagnostic, electrical drawings and schematics.
• Any other job-related duties as required from time to time.

• Qualified Artisan (Electrician) with wireman's license.
• Master Electrician Certification (registered).
• 8-10 Years' post trade working experience as an Electrician with proven industrial/plant/heavy engineering experience.
• Experience in working in the Electrical department in Bethal would be advantageous.
• Supervisory or team lead experience is preferred.
• PLC interface understanding (advantage).
• Medically fit for industrial environment.
• Valid driver's license.
• Computer literate (MS Office).
