Job Description

At Click Learning we are passionate about using technology in education to pursue outcomes based interventions that can meaningfully impact learners in South Africa. We deploy online literacy and numeracy programmes, within underprivileged primary schools across South Africa, to build learners' foundations as well as recognise learning gaps and provide them with relevant catch up learning content. Programmes offer young learners the opportunity to work at their own pace through fun and enjoyable activities while navigating their learning journey by means of technology. Whilst addressing the literacy and numeracy crisis, Click also equips learners with the technological skills required for future success.

To provide quality training and coaching to all facilitators and educators, either through in-person training or online session, that enables facilitators to run the labs responsibly and ensures that every learner benefits from quality ed-tech learning with the support of an educator. The role requires strong training, planning, coordinating, reporting and communication skills.

What you'll do? FACILITATOR TRAINING 1. Training Delivery
  • Conduct induction training for new facilitators.
  • Deliver ongoing upskilling training for facilitators at existing schools.
  • Facilitate maintenance and refresher training to ensure continued effective programme delivery.
  • Implement remediation training to support underperforming facilitators.
  • Upskill facilitators on all training processes and programme requirements.
2. Facilitator & Learner Support
  • Support facilitators in managing and guiding learners throughout their online learning journey.
  • Ensure learners receive maximum benefit from the programmes in accordance with Click Learning requirements.
  • Provide guidance on best practices for effective facilitation.
3. LMS & Compliance Monitoring
  • Monitor and drive completion of Click LMS modules and required quizzes.
  • Track and ensure completion of all training-related courses and quizzes.
  • Collate and review training feedback following school launches and training sessions.
4. ICT & Administrative Support
  • Support the effective use and functionality of ICT equipment and peripherals
  • Complete all required administrative tasks accurately and timeously.
5. Reporting & Stakeholder Communication
  • Provide structured feedback to relevant stakeholders following training or coaching sessions.
  • Ensure line managers are informed of facilitator performance and development areas.
Educator Training 1. Training for Newly Launched Schools

Train educators to ensure they:

  • Understand the purpose and value of their school's partnership with Click Learning.
  • Are introduced to the online programmes that support their classroom teaching.
  • Recognise how learners benefit from the online programmes.
  • Can access and effectively use educator tools and programme content to enhance their teaching.
  • Collaborate actively with facilitators to maximise learner outcomes.
  • Understand and support required active time and usage expectations for programme success.
  • Are aware of the implications of underperformance. Demonstrate buy-in and commitment to the intervention.
2. Ongoing & Expansion Training
  • Conduct training for educators when learner programmes are extended to higher grades.
  • Train newly appointed educators at existing schools to ensure alignment with programme expectations.
3. Remedial Support
  • Implement remedial training where there is limited educator buy-in or insufficient programme support.
  • Provide targeted guidance to strengthen educator engagement and programme implementation.
Progress Checks
  • Conduct checks according to prescribed standards during growth before training and for existing schools
  • Conduct regular on site visits to schools to monitor facilitator behaviour and performance post training and provide on the job coaching where necessary
  • Report findings after checks to relevant role playersResolve and address challenges, while completing checks, if within the training realm
General
  • Coordinate and provide ongoing training according to annual training plans and growth processes.
  • Conduct training according to training requests made by facilitators, the Training Head, operational teams and management.
  • Monitor training attendance of facilitators and elevate non-attendance to line managers.
  • Monitor training records and edit data for accuracy.
  • Proactively reflect on training content to ensure that it is up to date and accurate.
  • Collaborate to update or create training content.
  • Attend upskilling sessions of training material that is new.
  • Stay current with knowledge of the online programmes and Click's implementation.
  • Attend internal workshops to develop and maintain standards of the Click training team.
  • Weekly reporting to the Training Head.
  • Monthly peer review of training delivery based on observation of training sessions.
  • There are skills needed by the organisation that may be identified above and beyond what the role requires. These may be assigned to you as part of your role.
KEY PERFORMANCE METRICS

The Training Head will conduct a monthly KPI session in which the following metrics will be assessed:

  • 100% Facilitator and Educator training needs for region fulfilled.
  • Trainer quiz results post training >=80% of successful completion
  • Facilitator and Educator average training rating of 4 or more (Scale 1-5)
  • Pathway average training rating of 4 or more (Scale 1-5)
  • Facilitator attendance with national training rollout - >=80% regional attendance by facilitators
  • New facilitator Click LMS Facilitator Induction course and accompanying module and quiz completion - >=80% successful completion in month 1
  • Quality execution of ad hoc projects and tasks
What we are looking for?
  • Minimum qualification - Matric Certificate.
  • University degree in training and/or Learning and Development is advantageous
  • Excellent verbal, listening and written communication skills.
  • Training expertise in the education sector.
  • At least 2 years' work experience as a trainer.
  • Strong presentation skills and experience training adults of all ages is desirable.
  • Experience in using technology and incorporating AI in training.
  • Experience conducting both face to face and online training in large group settings.Strong planning, training and development skills.
  • Strong affinity towards teamwork.
  • Excellent record keeping skills and time management.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Google Slides/PowerPoint, Google Sheets/ Excel, Google Documents/Word, Gmail/Outlook and other communication and project management tools.
  • Good knowledge of current education curriculum (CAPS) in primary school is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of e-learning learner programmes is advantageous.
  • Valid driver's licence and own transport - willingness to drive to rural areas and townships as well as occasionally fly intra-provincially as well as inter provincially
