Job Description
Responsibilities 
- Efficient and accurate inventory movement according to documented processes.
- Work cross functionally with all areas of the warehouse.
- Participate in all environmental, health and safety initiatives and comply with required policies and standards.
- Backfill for warehouse team members in their absence.
- Perform any other work related instructions given by the Warehouse Team Leader at all times.
- Order processing, packing goods for distribution and inventory management:
- Pick orders according to the provided picklist for dispatching, in house production, outsourced warehouse production and other outside warehouse storage.
- Sign, date and record the time on all picking slips processed to ensure traceability.
- Check orders against pick slips and invoice.
- Pack stock for appropriate distribution, ensuring hazards, cold-chain, Schedule5, fragile requirements are met in the most economical way.
- Ensure goods are handed over to courier for dispatch within prescribed timelines.
- Accurately pick stock as per picking slips allocated according to relevant SOPs.
- Confirm pick slips on the ERP system.
- Include delivery documentation with the packed order, number of boxes per consignment on pick slip, write customer name on the goods, invoice and number of boxes/drums outside container visibly.
- Ensure all stock received is correctly recorded on Manual Goods Receive Voucher.
- Accurate receiving of delivered stock in line with related Goods Receiving Procedure.
- Complete stock movement documentation accurately.
- Ensure all stock movements are correctly controlled and recorded on Movex.
- Perform cycle counts/bin verification on the allocated aisle and other areas as directed by the Team Leader.
- Keep bins neat and tidy daily, prepare for stock count and participate in biannual stock count.
- Ensure hazardous, high value and scheduled medicine are stored and handled appropriately per relevant SOPs.
- Record, report and remove damaged goods and report all discrepancies in stock to the Team Leader/Stock Controller promptly.
- Prevent stock losses due to damages and security breaches by reporting incidents.
- Return credit claims to stock as per Team Leader request.
- Maintain filing up to date compliance.
- Handle inventory according to pick slips and related SOPs.
- Ensure cGMP/GDP and housekeeping standards are maintained.
- Adhere to safe work procedures and wear PPE as appropriate to task.
- Comply with all housekeeping, safety and GMP regulations and relevant SOPs.
- Participate in initiatives to avoid critical audit findings.
- Maintain forklift/reach truck licenses validity and carry the license at all times while driving.
- Maintain warehouse infrastructure in neat and orderly condition, operate material handling equipment per SOPs, report malfunctions promptly.
- Ensure no damages occur due to negligence; report damaged stock, equipment, or infrastructure problems.
- Inspect equipment to identify replacements, malfunctions, and repairs.
- Contribute toward a safe working environment and mitigate loss of time, accidents or damage.
- Grade12 or any relevant NQF level4.
- Minimum 2years experience in Receiving and FinishedGoods Warehouse (Pharmaceutical warehousing related experience is an advantage).
- Pharmaceutical sector experience (advantage).
- Reach truck and forklift experience (advantage).
- English literacy, numeracy, computer skills, good timekeeping.
