Washbay Attendant

Focuses on maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and basic upkeep of the fleet to ensure they meet safety, hygiene, and enforce a professional company image.

Job Purpose: To maintain the cleanliness and presentation of all fleet vehicles by ensuring trucks are washed in accordance with operational requirements, roadworthiness, compliance with health and safety regulations, while supporting the effective upkeep of the fleet.

• Maintenance of equipment and assets
  
  
  
  • Clean and wash all equipment internally and externally, as per business standards
  
  
  • Use consumables and resources optimally and sparingly, and as per instructions.
  
  
  
  


• Housekeeping
  
  
  
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the wash bay area
  
  
  • Assist with daily site cleaning
  
  
  • Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals and equipment
  
  
  • Report any issues like shortages, damages, etc. to the Supervisor
  
  
  
  


• Team & Operational Support
  
  
  
  • Work efficiently to meet turnaround times
  
  
  • Assist fellow team members and respond to ad hoc requests from supervisors.
  
  
  • Support loading/offloading activities and general yard duties during peak periods, as requested
  
  
  
  


• Health & Safety
  
  
  
  • Adhere to all health and safety standards
  
  
  • Adhere to all company safety policies
  
  
  • Dispose of wastewater and waste materials according to company and environmental procedures
  
  
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
  
  
  
  

• Grade 12 or equivalent, minimum requirement


• No previous experience required. Previous work as a general worker, cleaner, or labourer will be an advantage.


• Must be able to read and follow basic instructions.
