A leading FMCG business is seeking a commercially astute Route-To-Market Manager to drive strategic planning, supply chain optimisation, and national distribution performance. This is a high-impact role suited to a seasoned professional with deep experience in Route-To-Market strategy, production planning, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Business Alignment
- Budgeting and forecasting aligned to sales roadmap
- Identifying risks and Capex requirements
- Sequencing strategy to meet business objectives
- Communicating operational plans weekly/monthly
- Integrating supply chain into procurement and production
- Managing production, procurement, and quality control
- Tracking excise-related production records
- Driving efficiency and waste reduction targets
- Procuring materials on time, in full, at best value
- Managing supplier relationships and cost control
- Leading annual supplier negotiations
- Identifying and implementing supplier improvements
- Leading national RTM strategy and distributor infrastructure
- Monitoring RTM dashboards and distributor performance
- Conducting ROI analysis and aligning with sales strategy
- Aligning with marketing, sales, and logistics teams
- Coordinating forecasting and despatch planning
- Managing inventory levels at distributor sites
- Supporting trade marketing and permit processes
- Overseeing logistics, warehousing, and transportation
- Managing full order cycle and route optimisation
- Supervising warehouse teams and resolving issues
- Meeting cost, accuracy, and delivery targets
- Ensuring regulatory and ISO compliance
- Maintaining operational certifications
- Analysing performance metrics for improvement
- Reporting on operational and financial activities
Requirements
Minimum 8 years' experience in FMCG operations, RTM, and logistics
Proven success managing national distribution and supplier relationships
Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills
Ability to lead in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Proficiency in logistics software and financial reporting
Willingness to travel nationally
