Job Description
Our client is seeking a resilient and proactive HC Generalist with a strong background in Employee Relations (ER) to join their dynamic Human Capital team. The ideal candidate will thrive in high-pressure environments, demonstrate exceptional work ethic, and bring a positive, solutions-oriented attitude. This role is critical in supporting line management with all ER matters, ensuring compliance, and driving continuous improvement in HR processes.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a generalist HR role with a strong focus on Employee Relations.
- Proven experience handling disciplinary hearings, grievances, and CCMA representation.
- Solid understanding of South African labour legislation and HR best practices.
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
- Provide expert guidance and support to line managers on disciplinary processes, grievances, and conflict resolution.
- Represent the organisation at the CCMA and other dispute resolution forums.
- Ensure compliance with labour legislation, internal policies, and procedures.
- Assist in identifying and mitigating HR-related risks and fraud controls.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records (electronic and hard copy).
- Provide cross-functional administrative support across the Human Capital division.
- Maintain and update master data on the HR Information System (HRIS).
- Prepare and analyse employee-related data to support decision-making and workforce planning.
- Generate management reports and provide insights to support employee relations and performance management.
- Assist the Human Capital Manager in improving HRIS processes and functionality.
- Support internal, external, and ISO audit requirements.
- Ensure adherence to ISO9001:2015 quality standards.
- Enforce Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to minimise business risk and ensure continuity.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Represent HC in committees, task teams, and meetings as required.
- Communicate HC initiatives and updates effectively across the organisation.
- Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
