POST: Lecturer: Relief for English First Additional Language (PL1)

SALARY: R256395.00 plus 37% in lieu of benefits

DURATION: 3 Months Fixed Term Contract

• Matric certificate plus an appropriate M+3 Qualification (National Diploma / Bachelor's Degree) having majored in English First Language or First Additional Language.
• Computer Literacy in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• SACE registration.
• Teaching experience in English is key.
• Assessor/ Moderator qualification will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of legislation governing the sector.

• The incumbent will be responsible for teaching L2 - L4 English subject.
• Conducting assessments and marking of tasks.
• Preparation of files (POA; POE and Subject file).
• Organize relevant curricular activities to ensure that the subject, learning area of the learners are conducted in a proper manner.
• Assess and record the attainment of learners.
• Assist with the issuing and retrieval of textbooks and management of equipment etc.
• Organize experiential training for students.
• Report and account for student performance in their programmes.
• Record and report on absenteeism and perform other relevant duties within the ambit of teaching and learning.
