Location: Prospecton, Durban

Contract type: Fixed-Term Contract

Main purpose

Ensure that the company becomes the number one value-adding supplier of metal parts and functional assemblies to the local market & beyond.

Job objectives

Conduct scheduled maintenance by:

  • Identifying faults
  • Repairing & replacing parts
  • Recording faults & time to repair

Build & develop machines by:

  • Installing & programming equipment
  • Documenting equipment specifications
  • Install & commission machines

Complete apprentice training in accordance with the MERSETA logbook & company requirements.

  • Responsible for own personal attendance to ensure it is 98% on an ongoing basis.
  • Responsible for own personal development in line with the company strategy.
  • Enforce & adhere to all policies & procedures.
General
  • Tend to concerns in area of responsibility and elevate according to escalation process.
  • Carry out any reasonable instructions/ tasks given by the General Manager or Maintenance Manager.
Internal matrix customers
  • All Ramsay Members including Management.
External customers
  • Toyota

Qualifications
  • N3 Drawing or Gr 12 technical drawing.
  • N3 Mechanotechnics
  • N3 Maths/ Grade 12 Core Maths
  • N3 Drawing or Gr 12 technical drawing.
