Overview

This is an Independent Contractor role, 4 - 8 hours per week. Residence is based in Durban North, and you will need your own vehicle to spend time on site once a week.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and coordinate general maintenance issues within the property, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and service providers to arrange household repairs, deliveries, and services.
  • Manage household administration, including filing, scheduling, and record-keeping.
  • Assist in planning and organizing family events, including logistics and vendor coordination.
  • Run ad hoc errands as required (shopping, collections, deliveries).
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in personal and household support / property management, or a similar role (preferred).
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
  • Trustworthy, proactive, and adaptable to changing household needs.
  • Valid driver's license and own vehicle required.
  • Candidates should demonstrate strong creative abilities to contribute to room upgrades, design concepts, and idea generation, as well as proficiency in tools such as Canva, etc.
  • Interest in children, education, the environment and the charity sector is also beneficial.
  • Computer literacy: MS Word, Google Drive, Excel.
