The primary purpose of this role is to develop and then execute a sales strategy for the selling of stonefruit within the designated region that is aligned to and facilitates the delivery of the global sales strategy. The strategy and its execution must deliver the best possible return for our growers and profit margin for the company.

Key Performance Outputs
  • Drive new business development aligned to Global Sales Strategy.
  • Identify and pursue growth opportunities in existing and new markets.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
  • Conduct seasonal market reviews and business planning.
  • Gather and analyse market and competitor intelligence.
  • Manage pricing, costing, sales forecasting, and profitability.
  • Translate market insights into regional budgets and sales targets.
  • Strengthen relationships through client travel, farm visits, and presentations.
  • Confirm and manage seasonal sales plans aligned to client and business objectives.
  • Set benchmark pricing by tier in line with sales strategy.
  • Ensure fruit is sold to the right clients, markets, prices, and sales velocity.
  • Align sales programs with supply & demand forecasts and crop estimates.
Sales Administration (Operational Excellence)
  • Ensure compliance with systems, policies, and processes.
  • Manage client onboarding, KYC, contracts, pricing, credit limits, and Netsuite setup.
  • Maintain accurate sales administration and information flow.
  • Oversee order processing, client communication, and on time debtor payments.
  • Assess and resolve claims, credits, and market assistance.
  • Keep clients informed with industry updates, crop and weather information.
  • Act as the primary client contact, handling queries professionally and timeously.
Grower Responsibilities (Supply Partnerships)
  • Build and maintain strong grower relationships. Conduct regular grower visits to understand production and product quality.
  • Provide frequent market feedback to growers.
  • Ensure growers achieve the best possible commercial returns.
Company Responsibilities (Collaboration & Brand)
  • Enhance the customer brand experience across all touchpoints.
  • Act as a brand ambassador.
  • Collaborate closely with agronomy, quality, supply chain, inventory, planning, and logistics teams.
  • Work effectively with regional stonefruit sales teams (Middle East, Asia, Australia).
Requirements Education & Experience
  • Tertiary qualification / BComm Degree in Marketing, Logistics, International Trade or similar.
  • 5-8 years' experience in a similar sales role within the fruit industry or FMCG export environment.
  • Experience with ERP systems and fruit industry software.
