We looking for aTeam Leader M/F based :South Africa

An exciting opportunity as risen for an experienced and suitably qualified Team Leader based in Durban to supervise and motivate team members to ensure safe and efficient warehouse operations. As Team Leader, you will be responsible for supervising and inspiring your team to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality warehouse operations. You will play a key role in optimizing processes, driving productivity, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and stock control standards.

Profil request:
  • Matric - Grade 12
  • Numeracy and literacy
  • Higher certificate in warehouse management
  • Safety and ISO understanding safety critical components.
  • Licenced to drive a forklift, high reach truck and or tow motor
  • 2-3 years' warehouse experience (automotive warehousing to external experience would be advantageous)
MEASURABLE OUTPUTS
  • Provide support to all production team members with daily functions (as well as absence cover).
  • Maintain kanban operations based on the lead times.
  • Co-ordinate daily unpacking of stock to maintain just in time operations.
  • Lead, coach, and motivate team members to achieve operational excellence.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and quality standards at all times.
  • Monitor and improve workflow efficiency to meet performance targets.
  • Co-ordination and maintain accurate stock control and inventory management (FIFO, AGE stock and ECI parts)
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement best practices.
  • Good command of the English language for business communication
  • Participation in kaizen and innovation activities
  • Customer focus and good customer service skills
  • Teamwork, problem solving skills, time and self-management
TECHNICAL PRE-REQUISITE
  • Able to operate heavy machinery (e.g., forklift, high reach truck and or tow motor)
  • Familiarity with warehouse management system and participate in cycle and stock count.
  • Familiarity with SAP / scanning system to maintain stock accuracy.
  • Knowledge of ER (Employee Relations) and team member support
  • Understanding of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for warehouse operations.
  • Knowledge of health and safety protocols and guidelines, maintain an organized (5S) warehouse environment.
  • Administration and reporting NG stock.
