We are looking for a highly execution-focused Product Owner to support our POS and integrated payments ecosystem. This role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, and operations, ensuring that requirements are clearly defined, prioritised, and delivered effectively.

You will play a critical role in translating product strategy into actionable development work, driving delivery across POS devices, merchant payments, and wallet integrations.

This is a fast-paced environment where adaptability, ownership, and clarity of thinking are essential.

• Translate product requirements into clear, structured user stories and acceptance criteria
• Build detailed product specifications for engineering teams
• Own and manage the product backlog
• Work closely with engineering teams to drive sprint planning, execution, and delivery
• Ensure features are delivered on time and meet quality standards
• Identify and unblock delivery risks proactively

• Support development of POS capabilities (inventory, sales flows, integrations)
• Support card payment flows (tap, insert, swipe, cashback)
• Assist in integrating POS with payment terminals and wallet systems
• Understand and contribute to end-to-end transaction flows

• Align business, operations, and technical teams on priorities and delivery timelines
• Communicate progress, risks, and trade-offs clearly and consistently
• Collaborate with customer support and field teams to resolve issues and improve products
• Take ownership in a fast-changing, ambiguous environment
• Act as a system champion for POS and payments products
• Continuously identify areas for optimisation and efficiency
• Support testing, releases, and post-launch monitoring
• Ensure documentation is up to date and accessible

• 4+ years experience in a Product Owner / Business Analyst / Product role
• Experience in fintech, payments, or financial services
• Exposure to POS systems or merchant-facing products
• Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical deliverables
• Experience working closely with engineering teams

• Experience with payment terminals (e.g., Sunmi, Urovo, Android POS)
• Understanding of card payments, ISO8583, or payment switching
• Exposure to informal market / township commerce
• Experience working on SDKs, APIs, or platform products
